Amazon UK has revealed that we're getting a Future Nya minifigure in the new LEGO Ninjago Character Encyclopedia book releasing in March 2021! We previously got Future Jay in the 2018 Toys R Us Bricktober pack. While it's great to get another future minifigure, I'm not very happy with the inaccuracies here. Instead of a new face print, this figure reuses Nya's face from The LEGO Ninjago Movie, which is inaccurate to the character's design from before Season 8 of the TV show. A new face print should have been included to reflect the aging and wrinkles seen on the figure in Season 5.
The TV show also showed Nya with a longer hair piece, but since the piece doesn't actually exist as a LEGO mold I don't think it's a big deal for this figure to use the common bob hair piece. I'll definitely be swapping her face out for a previous Nya face from before Season 8, but it's pretty disappointing that LEGO couldn't give us an accurate minifigure in this book, especially considering the incredible book-exclusive minifigures they've made in the past.
